"Comparison of Odor Components by Mango Variety" announced
at the 61st Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils, and Aromatics.

Odor components contained in the Irwin (product of Miyazaki Prefecture), Carabao (product of the Philippines) and Nam Dok Mai (product of Thailand) varieties were compared using AEDA and our proprietary AROMATCH® evaluation technology. In addition to identifying the characteristic components by variety, this research discovered 3-carene oxide within the Irwin variety and confirmed its role in enhancing fruitiness in fruit, including mangoes.

Furthermore, these research results were presented orally at the 61st Symposium on the Chemistry of Terpenes, Essential Oils, and Aromatics (2017) under the title "Comparison of Odor Components by Mango (Mangifera indica L.) Variety" and received a Best Presentation Award.
