| Biodegradability | |
| PENTALIDE is readily biodegraded. The biodegradability of PENTALIDE was conducted in accordance with the OECD Guideline 301C : Ready Biodegradability, Modified MITI test (T). The substance is considered readily biodegradable according to the criterion of this test when the amount of O2 required is ≧ 60%of the theoretical amount of O2 within 10 days counting from the day that the observed level of degradation first exceed 10% (10-day window). This result must be obtained within the test duration 28 days. PENTALIDE was degraded up to 87% after 28 days and also passed the 10-day window criterion. Thus, it can be concluded that PENTALIDE is readily biodegradable. |
